The VWR DYLA-DUAL, designated VWR Item No. 12620-970, features a large 16.5 cm (6½”) diameter cast aluminum top plate capable of stirring from 100 to 1600 rpm and heating up to 400°C (752°F), with a 1500 mL capacity. This economical and robust hot plate stirrer is ideal for general heating and stirring needs. Its electronic speed control and bimetallic thermostat ensure reliable and repeatable results, while the powerful heater rapidly reaches maximum temperature.
Equipped with a large magnet for strong magnetic coupling, indicator lights signal when the unit is on. Additionally, it includes a built-in support rod holder with a locking knob for optional support rod and clamp kit attachment, facilitating the mounting of thermometers and temperature probes. A kit comprising a 45.7 cm (18″) support rod, thermometer extension clamp, three-prong medium swivel clamp, and hook connector is provided. Moreover, an optional support plate enables the hot plate to be mounted to lab frames or ring stands.
