The Invacare® Softform Excel™ Mattress incorporates a contoured foam layer designed to evenly distribute patient weight, enhance comfort, and aid in pressure ulcer prevention for patients up to High Risk. The mattress base includes a firm foam layer for substantial support. Key features include:
- High Risk (Pressure Ulcer Prevention): Helps distribute weight and reduce interface pressure, aiding in pressure ulcer prevention.
- Laser-cut castellations: Break the foam surface tension, maximizing body contact, minimizing shear, increasing airflow, and optimizing pressure reduction.
- Castellated cells: Enhance patient immersion into the foam, maximizing body contact area and pressure redistribution.
- Mushroom-shaped cells: Superior patient immersion and pressure redistribution.
- Keyhole cut: Facilitates proper airflow through the foam, maintaining consistent temperature and enhancing patient comfort. The antimicrobial, fluid-resistant cover is made of four-way stretch polyurethane with a coated polyurethane base, ensuring durability. The Softform Premier mattress features high-frequency welded seams, while the Softform Excel Mattress features stitched seams.
